Homemade peanut butter

Serves: 2 cups | Prep: 5 minutes | Cook: 20 minutes



  1. Preheat oven 170°C fan forced. Scatter the peanuts over a baking tray. Roast 20-25 minutes or until golden. Cool 5 minute.
  2. Transfer warm peanuts to a food processor. Process peanuts until finely chopped. Scrape down side of bowl. Add oil. Process for 1 minute. Scrape down side of bowl. Process for another 1 minute and scrape down side of bowl. Repeat the process until peanut butter is the consistency you want it. Stir in salt to taste.
  3. Spoon into jar. Keep in the fridge.
  4. TIP: You can use roasted salted or unsalted peanuts for this recipe as well. Warm them in 170°C oven 7-10 minutes, then follow steps 2-3.
