PCA SOUTH BURNETT REGIONAL CULINARY COMPETITION:

Alastair McLeod
February 7, 2006

PCA is happy to announce the judges for the 2006 South Burnett Regional Culinary Competition (which will be held during the annual Wine and Food in the Park Festival on March 11) and they're sure to keep our competitors on their toes!

The judging panel is an exciting line-up of top Queensland foodies.

Alastair McLeod, (right), is Executive Chef at the iconic Brett's Wharf Restaurant (Brisbane) and is returning to judge the cook-off for the second time.

In 2005, Alastair shot to national fame when he became a resident chef on Channel 10's Ready, Steady, Cook.

Fiona DonnellyFiona Donnelly, (left), is a journalist and feature writer for the Courier Mail newspaper. Fiona is no stranger to the South Burnett as she recently compiled a two-page cover story for the Good Life lift-out in which she journeyed through the region and uncovered an abundance of top quality wine and produce.

Fiona is excited about judging at the PCA Cook-off, and we know she'll discover more great South Burnett food, wine and fun.

Steve GudzinskiThe "guest judge" is well-known former local chef Steve Gudzinski who has the unique title pf three-time winner of the PCA South Burnett Regional Culinary Competition's "Best Dish" category (2003, 2004 and 2005).

Steve, (right), now works with his partner at a winery and homestead at Tamborine Mountain in the Gold Coast Hinterland.

PCA has invited Steve back to the region to share his culinary expertise in an honorary role.
