The Peanut Company of Australia is proud to again sponsor the
South Burnett Regional Culinary Competition at this year's Wine and Food in the Park Festival in Kingaroy.
The
2003 competition was a huge success with chefs from several fine South Burnett restaurants competing.
2003 winner
Steve Gudzinski, now at Kingaroy's Red Earth Restaurant, is also keen to defend his title after competing at the Australian Regional Culinary Competition in Adelaide in October.
Only South Burnett products may be used as the main ingredients. Many of last year's recipes - naturally enough! - featured peanuts.
The
2004 Tarong Mine Wine and Food in the Park Festival will be held in Kingaroy's Memorial Park on Saturday
March 13.

As well as the Culinary Competition, there'll be 13 local wineries offering their vintages for tastings and sales, an open-air bar, market stalls and live entertainment.
Admission is $5.00 (with under 18s free).
Chefs who are interested in competing in the
PCA South Burnett Regional Culinary Competition should contact Hospitality Instructor
Jason Ford at the Southern Queensland Institute of TAFE for more information or
download the entry brochure (105kb PDF).
Entries must be received by March 5, 2004. They should be mailed to:
Jason Ford, Southern Qld Institute of TAFE, LMB 335, Kingaroy, Qld, 4610.
